Punjab is the most prosperous STATE of Pakistan and experiencing rapid growth in human population and vehicular population. The purpose of IDAP is to develop seamless, efficient and high speed integrated transport.
Pakistan and Turkey have a history of strong ties based on mutual respect and brotherhood between both the countries. Government of the Punjab takes immense pride in its time tested relationship with Turkey which is deep rooted in history, culture and religion. People of Punjab can never forget the support which the Turkish Government extended to them when they were confronted with one of the heaviest floods in history in 2010. Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) Punjab, fortified this Pak-Turkey bond by coming forward in their time of need and providing essential items to earthquake victims in Turkey on a daily basis after purchasing them from Turkish markets. The Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) Punjab also made a contribution of $1.1 Million initially to provide relief to the victims of the Turkish earthquake. Another payment of $750,000 was also made by the PDMA to the Turkish government in order to provide relief and facilitate the affected people as a goodwill gesture and support from the people of Pakistan.
